Manufacturing and Testing Valve and Regulator Assemblies
Valve and regulator assemblies sit at the heart of hydraulic actuation systems, and TEK Precision has manufactured this class of hardware for Sikorsky rotorcraft since 1982. These are among the few components where manufacture alone is insufficient — the completed assembly must be qualified before it ships.
TEK operates dedicated hydraulic test stands in-house. Capacity runs from 0 to 15 GPM, with proof testing to 10,000 PSI, 3,500 PSI operating pressure and 3-micron filtration. An automatic cycling device performs endurance verification, and an environmental chamber qualifies performance from minus 65°F to 500°F. Flow is verified against master flow meters spanning 1cc through 15 GPM, and pressure against gauging calibrated 0 through 10,000 PSI using an in-house master dead weight tester.
Spring components are verified on a spring tester across 0 to 150 pounds, and torque values confirmed using gauges spanning 1 inch-ounce through 600 foot-pounds. Every unit ships with full test data traceable to the OEM specification.
